Movies
Saw some movies this weekend with M, The Recruit and Adaptation. The first was hardly worth mentioning. Nothing much really happened that was interesting or intriguing in it - no suspense, no mystery, nothing. Kind of weird that way. Just sort of bland. On the other hand (I seem to like contrasts too much these days), I have simply no idea what to make of Adaptation. It was crazy, completely crazy. As the movie proceeds it changes based on what the main character does. As he tries to write his screenplay, the movie keeps on starting again in various fashions. As he thinks about his romances the movie becomes romantic. As he thinks about writing a movie about writing a movie the movie itself starts turning in on itself.
The ending of the movie felt a bit cheap, but made sense in light of everything else. I just don't know what to say about this movie. I certainly will say that it was very interesting, and kept me intrigued all the way through. I do recommend watching it.
Still playing Xenosaga, which I will be getting from ebay soon. I've managed to be playing it while not owning it as my roommates girlfriend bought it, then left it here saying "there were too many cutscenes". I was happy to take over for her :) Am reading White Teeth, which looks to be even more interesting than the Masterpiece Theatre movie they made of it.
"Just cause you feel it....doesn't mean it's there". I wish I could type the way that some Radiohead phrases sound....just lovely/deadly.
