I Served Serial Joe a Slushie

So, yeah, mead. Drink of Vikings. I had some tonight - I've never drunk anything like it before. Not particularly because of the taste (it was raspberry flavoured, presumably because mead by itself is rather yeasty), but because of the way it made a taste-impact. At first, you get hit with the taste, all at once. Then, right after, you get a burning sensation in the back of the throat. Then it all completely vanishes. I mean, completely. Every other drink I've ever had dissipates, either quickly or slowly. But mead, at least, this mead, just totally vanishes after the throat-burning, no dissipation. Crazy stuff. And apparently, they sell it at the beer store!
