Watching Bus 174 last night quite upset me. It made me feel impotent somehow - all this evil in the world, and I can do next to nothing about it. It frustrated me. The end result of the whole situation was astonishing - it was amazing how unpreprared and poorly trained the police officers who were supposedly in charge of the situation were. The state of Brazil's jails was also quite shocking.
