What has happened to United's defense? Ferdinand gets banned and all hell breaks loose. The central defense of Silvestre and Brown is so weak right now. How about putting O'Shea back in the middle, like last season? Brown needs more time off.
Thrilling game though. United up 3-0 at half time, Everton come back to 3-3, then van Nistelrooy scores to win it with a minute left. Great cross by Ronaldo. He's certainly looking like he'll be big. And Saha. Oh Saha. 3 goals in his first 2 games, and both times he's be substituted 2/3 of the way through. Man he looks good.
Played an Ultimate tournament in the snow today. Great fun, and incredibly difficult running through icy sheets. In some points the snow was knee-height! Played three games, won one, lost two. I feel that if everyone who said they would come had, we would have been in the final. We were playing in the A league, and the three other teams had 10+ players each, while we had 4 in the morning, and 5 in the afternoon. Fortunately, except for the middle game, the other teams fielded the same number of players, so it wasn't too bad, but by the third game, having no substitutes was really wearing. Colin was pretty upset about people not showing up, and I can't say I don't agree with him - I'm just not as angry as he was. I mean, if you agree to play, then you should play. It's pretty simple. It wasn't a particularly bad day for weather, and our first game was at 10:00, so people had no excuse. At least it was a heck of a lot of fun. I personally didn't play great, but had an awesome goal. Last play of the game, and a half-field pass from Colin; I made a hell of a run and a nice diving catch. There's nothing like running straight through the defense and catching it in the endzone, especially when running was so difficult on the field. I just wish I had had a few better passes myself :)
