I Served Serial Joe a Slushie

I was so impressed with Dalhousie today. The math grad/undergrad student organization had a bbq today on the patio of the math building. It was like a freakin' Dawson bbq, including the alchohol. At one point, I asked a prof if this kind of thing was really allowed by the university, to which he quickly looked around, shrugged, and said "probably not". It was classic. This is in sharp contrast to Waterloo, where any drinking events have to be surpervised and run by the university. The prof's reaction also reminded of that great phrase "profs are like us, just older".
