Zeller's comes through again. As with Vice City, I got San Andreas in their electronics department a day after the game actually came out. They had like 6 copies there, while no one else has any. I guess no one goes to Zeller's for video games :)

My first bits of actually playing San Andreas were kind of annoying: the car camera-angle is a fair bit lower than GTA III. Since I had been playing GTA III a bit this past week, this screwed me up for a while. Now that I'm used to that, though, I'm starting to appreciate all the things they've added. Riding bikes kicks ass. Being able to climb over things kicks ass. And being able to drive off a cliff into a lake and not die (because you can swim) really, really kicks ass. I think water was my number 1 nemesis in the other GTA games :)

The story is a lot better than either III or Vice City, mainly because there are actually relationships between characters. There are lots of missions, and lots of variety in the missions: stealth, racing, dance games....but the main thing that it is just so impressive is this size of the game. That was actually a big dissapointment for me in Vice City: I felt as if Vice City was actually smaller than III. But this game...the first city is bigger than either of the previous two, and it's only about 1/4th of the whole game. I'm gonna spend a lot of time exploring.

In other news, you've probably seen it on M's blog, but we signed up for this zip.ca service to get movies. I've realized the only thing I miss on cable is football, and interesting movies, so getting this movie thing, which has lots of movies, and has delivered fast (we got our first four movies today) seems like a good deal. As for the football, well, I'll survive. I "acquired" the Arsenal/Man U game last night, so that's one game I'm able to see at least :)
