I woke up this morning to the radio, as I usually do, but today I actually listened to it. It was so weird. Instead of the standard hourly news/sports/weather/etc package, with real live people, they have a series of pre-recorded 15 sec segments. For example: "today's weather is: high of TWO, low of NEGATIVE THREE", or "All flights at the Halifax International Airport are ON TIME". To mix up the information, they have random jokes, facts about Halifax, and so on; again, all are pre-recorded. It was bloody surreal. They give the impression that there's someone there, but really it's all just being run by a computer.
