I Served Serial Joe a Slushie

New term this week and hence new courses. One I'm taking is in seminar format - teaching duties are taken up by the students on a rotational basis. On Wed. we had our first class, and the prof not being here this week, we decided to have the class in the grad house. It was a really interesting experience. Since we didn't have any blackboards, the five of us sat around a small table and discussed the lecture as it was being written out on paper. This leads naturally to lots of participation, lots of discussion, and a unique learning experience. I found it a really effective way to learn material. Of course, I'm sure the alchohol contribued to the good times :) We'll see how the course proceeds once the prof returns, but I like the format we've had so far.
