On the subject of football again, most things I've read about Rooney's goal celebration on Sat. seem to condemn it. That hardly seems fair to me. For pretty much all game the Liverpool fans insulted and taunted Rooney. After scoring, he went over to the Kop end (apparently the yobo supporter's side) and stood there, holding his hands to his ears, as if asking where were their taunts now. He didn't say anything, and he certainly didn't attack anyone ala Cantona. Is it unreasonable to, in a fairly mild way, respond to the taunts he'd been receiving? Where's the condemnation for the "fan" who threw a phone at Rooney?
