People wonder why I prefer football (British) over, say, American football. Let's see: the Super Bowl had a TV guide time of 7-11. It is now 7:40, and it just kicked off. After one minute of play, another commercial. The total playing time of the game is one hour, and the game actually takes four. British football: starts about 2 minutes after the announced time, always, no commericals until half time, 90 minutes of play, which actually takes 120 minutes.

Don't get me wrong, I like American football. In terms of how the games are covered, though, there's just no comparison. Here's hoping the actual game of the Super Bowl is half-decent...
