Random math fact for the day: did you know that by numbering the fibonacci numbers as f_1 = 1, f_2 = 1, and so on, that gcd(f_n, f_m) = f_gcd(n, m)? Wacky!
It was sad seeing United play Milan on Wed. They were just so thoroughly outclassed by the Italian team, it was insane. Here's hoping they do better on the return leg.
I was reading in the campus paper about a talk someone gave about evolution on campus last week. One of his points was that there is no good definition of evolution which does not make it a tautology. That's interesting. I can certainly see it. Once the scientific community gets behind a certain theory, there's little anyone can do to argue against it, in part because it becomes so much part of the theory that the basics almost become axiomatic. Anyways, I think I need to look more at evolution, I know very little about it or the theory behind it.
