Later today or tomorrow, I plan to present "World of Warcraft: A Four Month Retrospectus", but for now, you get:
Two Things I Dislike
(1) Hairdressers. See, I don't like getting my hair cut. Essentially, I'm lazy. I only go get my hair cut when it really starts bothering me, ie., when it takes far too long to wash and comb it in the mornings. I never really know how I want my hair to be cut. I just want it to be shorter. But the hairdressers never accept that. They assume that since my hair is long when I come to see them, it should always be like that. So when I say I want 3 inches off, they reply, "are you sure? Don't you want less?" and I find it hard to disagree with their experience. Then they start peppering me with other questions, like "above the ear? tapered back? sideburns? faded?" I don't know! Just cut it shorter!!
(2) Sobeys. Whenever I go to Sobeys, I remember why I pledge to never go there again. I walk in today, go to find green onions. At Atlantic Superstore/Zehrs/Loblaws, green onions are $0.49 most days, occasionally $0.59. At Sobeys? $0.99. That may not seem like much, but nearly all their products have a similar price difference. I go to get some cheese. They have only a single brand of cheddar available (Cracker Barrel). No local stuff, no variety whatsoever. I try some of the milk they are giving away as a sample. The lady asks me, "what do you normally drink?" I reply: "Soy milk". She mutters something and turns away. I go to the checkout line, and then have to wait 10 minutes as the lady there chats up the random customer in front of me. I mean, the Superstore is slow, but at least I know the cashiers are doing something.
