I'm beginning to sense a pattern in my meetings with my supervisor:
Me: I came up with great idea X, but I'm just missing a few details, what do you think?
Him: That is almost completely wrong.
Me: Oooo.
Him: Here is something which is correct....(2 hour discussion)
Someday I'll think up something that's correct, I'm sure of it. By the way, Ed, is that you?

heehee. I like how your supervisor very calmly and correctly says "That is wrong." Also your continued hope that one day you will be right is appealing to me, since I too am an incurable optimist.
