It's been a very strange day.
And to top it off, our galaxy isn't really a spiral? AAaaaaa!
- As I was walking to school, I noticed a bus ad telling me that Transglobe is "now proud to welcome Nova Scotia to its family". Two years ago, Transglobe, in one swift movement, acquired seemingly every single apartment complex in Waterloo. Then raised the rent prices. Now they've come to NS? Their name even sounds evil! This does not bode well...
- I managed to lose my office and apartment mail key (they were on the same keychain). I've never lost a key in my life.
- After talking with my supervisor a bit, he sort of conspiratorially showed me a paper he had received to review yesterday, in which the author characterizes CD lattices by using like the exact property I made up a couple weeks ago. It isn't as bad as I first thought, since my work characterizes CCD lattices in functor categories, not just in set, but the fact that he came up with the same condition, and that my supervisor, of all people, gets this paper to review (the main body of it doesn't have much to do with his research) was very weird.
And to top it off, our galaxy isn't really a spiral? AAaaaaa!
