As promised, non thesis-related content.
Kingdom of Loathing
Anyone out there heard of this game? It's free, it's an mmorpg, and its graphics consist of non-animated stick figures. But, just check out the list of classes:
I mean, once I saw Disco Bandit, I knew I had to try it. Most amusingly, it actually has all the ingredients of a real mmorpg. Trying it out, it didn't feel too far removed from playing WoW, the only real difference being that one can't (as far as I can tell) see the other players, just chat and trade with them. I'm really digging these minimalist games these days, almost makes me feel like I could write one myself.
