So, it looks like Alan didn't win. Oh well.

I forget how much fun watching election results is when there's actually a chance of different things happening. Astonishly though, Global has already declared a Conservative government. Isn't that highly irreponsible? Btw, for those east of New Brunswick, the current seats are 20/9/3 Lib/Con/NDP. More later, probably.
Comments:
of all the places I didn't expect to be getting election coverage from, your website was the top of my list. But here I am, finding out election results from the East before the polls close here in Ontario. Oooh, how illegal!

Looks like you've become a political junkie too -- hurrah! As for Alan, and in complement to your notes about the individual candidates' hard work, I have to say the people I always admire are the 80% of candidates who run and don't win (often, they run knowing they won't win). But they do it anyway, because they believe in the system and in this country. It's really cool. Tell Alan he's a good guy.
I'll tell Alan. He lost by a fair bit, but it looks like he's 2nd, so that's good at least. As the CBC person pointed out, he was a new person to the area, so that makes it very difficult.
Also, glad to be aiding in the illegal spread of information!
