Yay for democracy! Helping Alan with his campaign was surprisngly fun. As M mentioned, most people were fairly pleasant. I also thought what we were saying wasn't too intrusive/offensive/pushy, just inviting people to a meet and greet with Alan. I don't know how I could do it all day though, 7 days a week (like Alan is doing).
On another surprising note, the Hitckhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was far better than I expected. What it did really well was capture the frenetic pace of the books - always flitting from crazy incident to crazy incident. The actors in general did a very good job as well. Maybe I had low expectations going in, but it was still a very good representation of the book in movie form.
