Highlight of the day - receiving a bottle of beer (London Porter!) at a friend's honours thesis presentation (for helping said friend with discussions about his honours thesis).
The whole "honours thesis" concept is so utterly foreign to me. I keep on thinking, say, that my sister is in graduate school because she's talking about writing a thesis. I actually don't really understand why Waterloo didn't have an honours thesis, now that I think about it. It seems like a lot of work, but at the same time, it's good practice. Also, like co-op, it's a good way to see if you like doing a certain kind of work (in this case, research).
Speaking of which, my research stuff this past week has been so fun. Maybe more on this later.
